I knew this thing was gonna get me in trouble. I absolutely LOVE it! I was gonna wait till today to use it, but after reading something online last night about how skinny people work out 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night (something about how evening workout helps you to burn more fat while you sleep) that was all I needed to read. At around 9pm I strapped on the HRM and put the Cardio Coach CD into the CD player.

It took me a minute to figure out all the bells and whistles and whatnot. It’s all beepy and it records things and tells me how long I was in each heart rate and what percentage I was at and all that good stuff. Not sure what I will do with all of this information just yet, but it’s certainly nice to have. But it gets wore! I even got on the treddy AGAIN this afternoon! I can’t tell if I have tons of energy today or if it’s just cause I wanna play with my new toy. I wanted to do some yoga tonight, but I don’t want to push my body, especially because tomorrow I’ll be back to lifting and I want to do well, not be tired and sore from messing around on the treddy.

I went to my weigh in yesterday and was down 1.6, which was a shock. Sort of. My eating last week wasn’t on point at ALL, and I weighed myself I think Wednesday or Thursday and my weight was the same as it was last week. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining or anything, I will certainly take the 1.6 loss and be happy.

I was looking at my weight selections on some of the exercises and can see that I need to decrease my weight on a few. Although I am supposed to be pushing myself, I don’t want to sacrifice form or make myself prone to injury just to say I’m lifting or pressing X amount of weight. According to the book, there is no such thing as “good” form because everyone’s body is different, but I want to make sure I’m doing the exercises correctly with the most challenging weight for me. I’m a little frustrated because it’s taking me a while to find the proper weight selection for each workout and I almost feel that as soon as I find it, the workouts will change and I’ll be going down in reps which means increasing the weights. I guess it’s all a trial and error.
