Day 2: Plyo X
I thought I was used to high intensity cardio. I’ve been a Cathe step whore for months. But this was a whole new level. Fun fun fun! I think during this whole 90 days I’ll probably be much better at the cardio than I will be at the weight work.
For a hot minute I thought about subbing Cardio X for Plyo X thinking that it would be too high impact and I wouldn’t be able to complete it, but I didn’t want to start modifying the rotation on only the second day. Tony tells you in the beginning to think like a cat and that certainly made a BIG difference in this workout. I really tried to land as lightly as I could and it definitely helped.
My heart rate was up in the 85-95% during most of it. I had to take three breaks, just to being my HR back down to about 75% so I could continue. I thought my heart was gonna beat right outta my chest. It was great! I finished feeling exhausted, but accomplished. I can see how a recovery drink would be a good idea after this one, but since I don’t have any plans to get it, I just made sure I ate something hearty and healthy after I was done.
Got me some yoga blocks and a strap today so I’m all set for yoga. But tomorrow… shoulders and arms… and Ab Ripper X again. UGH.
