Definitely don't quit. Email me and tell me what you are eating. I'm on my third time doing the P90X program. When I eat right, I can lose as much as 8lbs a week while doing these workouts. I only do one DVD a day. It has to be what you are eating that's stopping you from losing weight because with this program, you will shed pounds in no time.

The first time I did P90X, I only made it to the second recovery week. But I lost 10 lbs. The second time, I lost 12.5 lbs and I made it to the 3rd phase, second week. This time I am currently on the second recovery week. I messed up since this was Memorial Day weekend and gained 5 lbs. Today is my 3rd day back eating right and working out and I already lost that back plus 1.

So I urge you to reconsider. You said it yourself, you see the results in your pics. Don't worry about the weight either because you may weight the same, but you gained more in muscle. So you actually lost more weight than you think.

Hopefully I can keep this enthusiasm for myself so that I can finally finish the whole program. In case you are wondering, why I stopped the first two times. The first time was because Christmas came and threw me out off my rhythm for eating right and exercising. The second time, I had a week long spring break trip to go on. Need I say more. lol.

I just found your blog whilst browsing and clicking on various "P90-X Yoga-X" links.

I too am doing P90-X. I saw your "falling off the wagon" entry and just wanted to suggest to you that you DON'T quit just yet. Firstly, "you can always quit tomorrow instead" (an expression I liked when I first saw it, so I thought I'd use it here!), so why do it today? Secondly, P90-X does strip away body fat - you might just be doing the wrong workouts. Have you tried the "P90-X Lean" version?

Personally, I am trying to both keep lean mass and strip away fat, so I elected to do the "Doubles" workouts. The Cardio-X routine made a HUGE difference for me - it kicked fat-burning into a high gear, and has got me to a new record low-weight for this year (and also probably my leanest ever so far). So, if weight-loss is still your priority, switch routines and substitute Cardio-X. You can even swap it for your dreaded Chest, Shoulders and Triceps workout. I promise you won't shrink your upper body to nothing by doing so.

Cardio-X is a very different cardio routine. I used to do tons of "cardio" - treadmill, rowing, skipping, blah blah. This is different because it gets you to do all kinds of different things, so it's not really like traditional cardio, it follows the "muscle confusion" they market with P90-X. It's simple, but not easy, and it seems to work for mem(so it WILL work for you - I am older and thus have an even harder time trying to achieve my goals).

Just trying to give you some words of encouragement, and no, I am not a P90-X sales man or even a "beachbody coach". Just someone also trying to get into shape and lose the fat built up over too many years.

So don't quit today, OK? :-) GOOD LUCK!!
